Wickedness FGGC, Kaduna, female student murders own baby

The serenity of the Federal Government Girls' College (FGGC), Malali, Kaduna State, was on Wednesday, February 10, thrown into confusion when a female student identified as Ummu-Salam Umar, in Senior Secondary School 1 (SSS1), reportedly murdered her own new born baby and threw the tiny tot over the school fence, Daily Trust reports.


Confirming the sordid incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Zubairu Abubakar said Umar has been arrested in connection with the crime.

Abubakar added that the school's Vice Principal reported the matter to the police.

"At about 1.15pm, the Vice Principal of FGGC, Malali, Mrs. Obianwuzia, reported at the station that ‎the corpse of a new born baby suspected to have been delivered by a student, wrapped in a white cloth was thrown over the school fence.

The corpse of the baby was left dangling on the school fence until the police came and removed it. After taking picture of the scene, it has been deposited at the mortuary.
