12-year-old girl who has had more than 1,000 giant ants removed from her ears

Shreya Darji, from Deesa, in western India, has around five live bugs crawl out of her ears her parents say.

So far, doctors have removed hundreds of bugs, but despite attempting ‘every thing’ the problem remains along with the bugs continue to breed.

Last year, Shreya’s trouble first began as an aggravation in her ear in September, when she visited her local hospital, doctors found the ants inside her ear canal.

A ideo filmed with an endoscopic camera exhibits a doctor removing what seems to be dead bugs from her hearing.

‘She doesn’t encounter any type of pain – even with the ants biting at her – and no harm has been got to the eardrums.

Dr Jawahar Talsania, 5 8, mature Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) doctor, in Gujarat, said: ‘we’ve ran all potential scans on the child including an MRI and CT scan nevertheless they are all ordinary. We cannot find any problem in her ears.

The ants maintain emerging from her ears, although her desperate parents say they’ve tried everything, from traditional medical aids to witch doctors, but the ants keep emerging from her ears.

The family live a life and they have a healthy environment we can not actually blame their dwelling conditions. We’ve perhaps not noticed something similar to this in our medical history.’

They continue to breed although Dr Jawahar explained that he has attempted to even suffocate the bugs with drops.

‘We don’t believe the ants are laying eggs inside the ear as we’ve not spotted a queen ant inside. We are completely perplexed,’ he said, adding he has already used a camera inside the ear to check for an egg chamber
Father Darji, 40, who operates a television repair company that was modest, in Gujarat, said ants regularly indexed from her hearing and school would be sat in by his daughter.

‘I am concerned about her future and the way this will change her studies. She is a brilliant child and she’s already missed a lot of school.

He said: ‘I ‘ve completed every-thing I may. They have failed to solve the situation although I’ve taken her to the greatest doctors. I simply hope things improve.

Other kids in her school and neighborhood are teasing her and it is currently making her feel awful. I need this problem cured as quickly as possible before it affects her confidence in life.’
